POSITION OVERVIEW 

Acquis Consulting Group is seeking an experienced business development leader to join its Coupa practice and help continue its rapid growth.  Direct experience identifying, generating and closing new business opportunities within the Spend Management (S2P, Expense, etc.) software landscape is necessary.  Specific business development experience with Coupa and professional services is strongly preferred.  Experience with expansion of existing client accounts is a plus. Other preferred qualifications includes strong client facilitation and the desire to mentor junior team resources.  Applicants should be looking to make their mark and help drive the rapid growth of this exciting, collaborative team.
 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR:

  • Lead new business development for the Acquis Coupa practice, working closely with the Acquis Coupa practice leadership team to identify opportunities, scope new projects, develop proposals, and execute new business contracts
  • Identify and execute on ways to build new relationships with the Coupa alliances and sales teams
  • Support expansion activities within our existing client accounts, forging strong partnerships with clients and colleagues, ensuring project success, and leading account expansion activities, as needed
  • Represent the Acquis Coupa practice at Coupa events and Industry events
  • Become proficient in Acquis’ Coupa implementation methodology
  • Provide mentorship to project team members and colleagues where needed
  • Work well in both individual and team settings both on and off-site
  • Contribute beyond business development with practice development, knowledge transfer, operational improvement, mentoring, and recruiting

 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR:

  • 10+ years’ experience in systems applications sales, preferably with one of the following applications as a solid predictor of success: Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua, Zycus, Basware, or ERP-specific Supply Chain Management module(s)
  • Extensive experience selling into Procurement organizations specifically focused on mid-size to small enterprise clients
  • Demonstrated success in selling management consulting services, generating new business leads, and expanding existing client accounts
  • A strong brand and external network within the Coupa industry
  • Thrives in an entrepreneurial, results-oriented, small business environment
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced and passionate environment
  • Manage clients where up to 25% of your time may include travel
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to think from a big picture perspective
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster an environment of collaboration and excellence
  • Ability to manage resources and deliver work products on time and with exceptional quality in a remote work environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS PowerPoint, MS Visio)
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher)
