POSITION OVERVIEW

Acquis Consulting Group is seeking associate level through senior level procurement/strategic sourcing consultants with at least 2-4+ years experience in management consulting. Our Procurement and Strategic Sourcing Practice (PSS) is seeking a candidate that can accelerate the growth of our offerings and our ability to meet the needs of our client base. A BS or BA is required for consideration, concentration in business preferred.  Top schools, impressive GPAs and challenging curriculum will receive preference. 

Candidates must be self-starters with proven positions of leadership. Mental agility and the ability to learn are paramount.  The ability to take on new challenges and succeed beyond one’s comfort zone is required.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as an incisive, effective creative thinker bringing business and consulting experience to client engagements and applies expert skills in communication, research, problem-solving, and analysis to the hands-on work that is the primary focus of these positions.
  • Takes on significant responsibilities, working closely with clients and making a major contribution to every engagement.
  • Leverages business context to analyze and improve complex business models.
  • Explains and reviews analysis/findings with team members and client personnel.
  • Assesses presenting problem with appropriate project scope and decomposes problem to identify root causes.
  • Manages client expectations and project scope actively with an approach designed to engender project success and extend goodwill.
  • Identifies implications of proposed solutions on people, processes, technology, strategy and structure.
  • Builds an effective business case for proposed solutions.
  • Thrives in an entrepreneurial, results-oriented, small business environment.

EDUCATION

  • BS or BA (Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Sciences preferred)
  • MBA is not required, but MBAs from top schools preferred 

SKILL SET AND EXPERIENCE

Preferred consulting backgrounds include but are not limited to:

  • IT and/or Digital Marketing category experience (e.g., Hardware, Software, Cloud, Managed Services, etc.)
  • Advertising and Promotion, fulfillment, Fleet, Professional Services, Facilities Management/MRO desirable category experience
  • Life Sciences, Retail, CPG, eCommerce and Financial Services or related sector experience

Preferred skill sets include but are not limited to:

  • 6-step sourcing process
  • Spend data analysis
  • Tail management
  • Sourcing organization, process and policy design
  • Post-merger integration of sourcing functions and supply bases
  • Supplier Relationship Management structures, processes and tools
  • Knowledge of SAP, Ariba, Coupa, and other P2P systems
